Our IVF Story

Erin is fine, here is the story.

I was shooting a wedding on Saturday and Erin was at the ER. Kinda scary. I got up around 8 to head off to a wedding I had to shoot starting at 9 in the hair salon. Erin got up around 9:30 and had some spotting when she went to the bathroom. Concerned obviously she called the doctor to which they said for her to go to the ER. So she called her friend to go to the ER with her… not calling me ;)

Well long story short I went all day figuring she was relaxing and maybe had gone out for lunch with someone. She spent all day in the Labor and Delivery unit at the hospital hooked up to monitors and going through tests.

They determined that the blood was in her urine and is most likely caused by bleeding of the kidneys. They think the lovenox is thinning her blood enough that it caused the kidneys to bleed some.

Erin called me on her way home tonight to let me know that she was feeling some numbness in her face and arm. The on call doctor instructed her to go to the ER.

I was in a meeting with a CPA to get my taxes in order and had to rush out. I went to pick her up. That was at like say 6:30. We sat in the waiting room with a load of strangers and strange folk until around 9:45 give or take. They ran some tests and put her on an IV. According to the tests Erin is dehydrated and they dictated a second drip bag. So we are still here waiting for that drip bag to empty. Should be close to 1:15 AM by the time we get out of here.

BTW they still have not told us why she was having the numbness the only thing they have done is tell us that it was NOT a stroke like they suspected at first. Thank God!

Pray for Erin. That she doesnt have this anymore and that she can sleep once we get home. Poor thing has to be at school teaching in like 7 hours!
